The incident occurred when Mkumla noticed something furry protruding from the edge of a few slices of bread. Initially in denial, she consulted friends who confirmed her worst fears, identifying the foreign object as a rat. A video she posted on social media revealed the gruesome sight: a clean-cut, dismembered rat with its innards visible, resembling a physical CT scan of the creature.

Mkumla had already consumed half of the loaf before discovering the rat, raising the disturbing question of where the rest of the animal might be.
