Singapore hawker goes the distance to refund customer who overpaid for a meal

A hawker in Woodlands, Singapore is being praised online after returning an overpayment made by a customer. The owner of the stall, Xiao Mei Ban Mian, took to Facebook to ask for the customer to come forward and spread the news. The customer had overpaid by S$445.50 (RM1,446.49) instead of the correct amount of S$4.50 (RM14.61). The owner was able to return the money with the help of social media users and expressed her gratitude in an updated post.
Social media users have praised the owner's honesty, with one Facebook user stating that it makes them compelled to go to the stall to eat. Another user wrote that the owner's actions show a lot of respect and that others might not have done the same.
