Two men from Finland have completed a remarkable feat of cycling all the way from Helsinki to Singapore, covering a total of 15,400km in 245 days. Valtteri Heinilä and Alvari documented their arduous journey on social media, which took them through a total of 21 countries. The duo had decided to embark on the challenge to break their daily routines, slow down and start living in the present, as well as to challenge themselves physically and mentally.

Valtteri shared several life lessons he learned during the journey, including to "expect nothing" and to "focus on the process, not the outcome". The duo documented their journey on Instagram, which showed them travelling through Central Europe to Türkiye, cutting through Central Asia and making it to India, before finally arriving in Singapore. Their finishing point was at the Finnish Ambassador’s residence in Singapore.

The pair thanked their supporters on Instagram, and announced that they would be celebrating their achievement with a well-deserved rest in Singapore before returning to Finland to work on their documentary.

Cycling such a long distance is an impressive feat, even for seasoned athletes. Congratulations to Valtteri and Alvari for completing their challenge, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
